First of all, you have to be a registered member. If you are not, stop here and register, then return to here when you are done.

If you are already a member, simply login to your account and click on the "Sell Item in Classifieds" link on the left.

The rest is a simple step-by-step process…

1. Enter your item title. This text field names your item and displays in bold wherever your item appears.
2. Choose the category that best suits your item. This can be changed anytime, but try to put it where you think most people will see it.
3. Keywords. Select up to 5 keywords (or phrases) that you feel most people will search for when looking for your item. Simply re-typing your item name is not always best. If you are selling a Carrie Underwood CD for instance, it might be best to include words like "country music" or ""
4. Description. Try to be concise and descriptive without being too wordy… most people will simply scan extremely long descriptions without actually reading the content; whereas, shorter descriptions are more likely to be read thoroughly. Also, be sure to put your contact information at the end of the ad. No matter how much someone wants your item, you won't get paid if they can't reach you. Phone numbers are best, but email addresses are very important too, especially since the people that are searching your item are probably Internet savvy.
5. Price. Simply enter a number in the space. "12.50" is acceptable, "$12.50 or best offer" is not. If you are willing to negotiate on the price, be sure to mention that in your description.
6. Alternate Address. This section tells Funcoast to post a map on the classified page that pinpoints the location of the item if you want. This can be especially helpful if you live in one place, but your item will be sold from another. If you are selling real estate, renting an apartment, selling a car, or anything else that might be available for a potential customer to see before buying, the alternate address field will allow you to direct them in the right direction. It will also help a potential buyer find you once you have agreed to the sale.
7. Images. You can post up to 5 images, but there are size limitations. Important - you must fill in the whole form and click "Save Classified" before you can upload images. After you have saved the item, you may upload up to 5 images for that item by selecting the image position where you want to place the picture, and browse to that image on your computer and select "Upload". It's that simple. Repeat the process for each image you want to upload. If you get errors, try uploading smaller images.
8. That's it! You're done. You can click on the "Active Classifieds" link to see your running classifieds and edit them. Classifieds stay active on the site for 30 days. If you wish to keep them active after that, you must open them back up and resave them.
